1948 is the year of Jerry Palmer's birth. The beginning of story concerning his gambling activity is very similar to the one of Joe Classon. He was serving in the US Army and it was one of soldiers' few pleasures to play card games for fun. Jerry Palmer just like other players was interested only in game but not in ways to cheat.
An old friend
After the honorable discharge Jerry Palmer met his old friend - Duke Swenson in California. The last had some illegal business connected with drugs. From time to time he also participated in casino scams as a member of Classon team that practiced past posting.
The friend told Palmer about all their adventures at Vegas casinos describing how risky dangerous and exciting it was and how much money they gained via the past posting method. As a result, Jerry determined his new aim and teamed up with Classon and Swenson.
From roulette to blackjack cheat
At first the team worked exceptionally at craps and roulette tables. However, with a lapse of time Jerry offered to try the same methods at blackjack as theoretically it was possible to provide the same cheat at that game. His offer was declined by other team members since they didn't share the opinion of their friend and thought it could be really noticeable for dealer that stood right near the cheater.
Thus, Palmer decided to prove his rightness and without any further suggestions set at the blackjack table with chips and did his first blackjack move without a shadow of fear while the friends were taken aback by his actions. Then he repeated that again and again gathering more and more money and being visually innocent for casino employees. At the beginning the bottom chips had a value of $ 100 and then they turned into $ 500 chips with a further transformation in yellow chips of $ 1.000 each.
That move was the team's past posting move number one till 1995 when the invention of great Savannah move took place and contributed the history of blackjack cheat.
Unfortunately, Palmer died in 1994 of drug overdose and two years earlier he quit casino cheating of the same reason - strong addiction to drugs.
